Augmented Driving - Upgrade your car with modern object detection running on your iPhone

Are you often driving on highways or country roads, or in daily stop-and-go traffic? Then you do not want to miss the impressive technology of Augmented Driving with advanced real-time object detection on your iPhone.
In stop-and-go-situations, Augmented Driving now detects moving off vehicles in front of you. On highways or country roads, your lane and other vehicles in your lane are detected and highlighted on the screen. Relevant information regarding your current driving situation is visually and acoustically presented. For better orientation at all times, your current driving course is displayed and to avoid speeding you are informed when you exceed a user-defined maximum speed.
Augmented Driving includes the following advanced features:
- Dynamic augmented reality overlays for lanes and vehicles
- Head-up display (HUD) for system and status information
- Lane detection and lane change warning
- Vehicle detection and low distance information
- HUD overlay of your current driving course
- Configurable warning threshold to avoid speeding
- Permanent auto-calibration for easy setup
- Intelligent, situation-adaptive recording of screenshots
- Many configuration options
- Integrated quick manual and setup movie
The system is designed to work in good lighting conditions during daytime for visible painted lane markings on highways and country roads and for detection of regular cars. For operation, GPS availability and a fix mount on the windshield are required. Please make sure to follow the safety notes and consider the setup instructions for optimum performance.
Important note:
Augmented Driving is intended for promotion of modern image analysis and object detection technologies on portable devices only. Augmented Driving is not suited for highly dynamic situations and must not be misused as a road safety system, e.g. for collision warning and the like. The application is strictly not designed to replace, substitute or complement any vehicle on-board safety or assistance systems. The end-user is in no way exempt from his duty of attention to the road and his due diligence.

Augmented Driving is now available in version 2.0.1 including more than 30 new features and improvements and with full compatibility for iPhone 4 and iOS 4.
We apologize for the delay. The API changes in iOS 4 to access the live camera video stream required a major re-design of important parts of our software. Furthermore, additional functional tests had to be performed due to the different camera hardware of iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

- Fixed a bug that caused the application to crash at the first three runs after installation
- Additional HUD modes
